Less Mess: My Mickey Ear Collection

When I first began working for Disney, I let my Mickey/Minnie Ear obsession run free. I bought any pair I could, especially if I could find them at a lower price. And then I moved to California, and later back to Florida. Over the years I've grown quite the collection, and while I don't want to get rid of any permanently I knew I needed to do something with them.

I'm not quite as in love with the ears as I was whenever the magic of Disney was still fresh in my mind, and the idea that I could go into the parks whenever I wanted on a whim was still really fantastic. Now, don't get me wrong I love having an annual pass, and being able to go into the parks whenever I want. However, the appeal has quieted down a little bit for me.

While I'm not getting rid of the Mickey Ears, I am sending some home with my dad when we go on family vacation to put in my room back home. I kept four pairs total, that I figured would go with whatever I wanted, and the rest are packed away in a bag to give to my dad.

I know that not everyone has the option to just send things back to their parents house if they want to keep them but don't have the space, and I'm so thankful that my dad doesn't really mind. My Mickey/Minnie ears are something that I would love to pass on to the next generation (if/when I were to have kids) to teach them about the magic that Disney holds. Although I do not work there anymore, and sometimes I got fed up with it, I still appreciate Disney for everything they've done and everything they'll continue to do.
