Back to the Basics

Coming into the Disney College Program, everyone always says that they're going to keep up with everything - blogs, vlogs, facebook posts, etc. But nobody ever does. When I was going into the DCP, I thought I would be the exception. I would keep up with it, I would write down every memory and everything. And then I got here.

You don't realize that you're going to be working 10 hour days, or 14 hour days, or even 6 hour days. Then you don't realize that you're going to be hanging out with coworkers all the time, or your roommates. The people on this program become your family. They become your best friends and your support system.

You'd rather sit around talking with everyone then sit on your computer and type out blog posts. And sometimes, getting four hours of sleep before a ten hour day at work is okay because there are more important things in life than sleeping. I've met some of the greatest people here, and it's going to be hard to leave them...which I will do soon.

I'm so grateful for the experience I've had here, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. This has been the greatest five months I've experienced. The people here are crazy, wonderful, and hands down some of the best people I've met. I can't imagine leaving Orlando, or Walt Disney World, but that's exactly what I have to do soon. But don't fear, I have a plan.

And you'll find out about it soon.
