An Introduction to Italy

The door to the Duomo in Florence
So as I’m siting here writing this, I’m in my hotel room in Milan, the night before I check out and head to my hotel by the airport tomorrow. But then again by the time that this is posted, I’ll be HOME IN ‘MURICA! I’m not going to lie, I’m super excited to go home, but at the same time I’m sad to be leaving Italy.

The Ponte Vecchio in Florence
I’ve been here for about six weeks, which is quite a long time if you think about it. I’ve had a great time here, but at the same time, it’s not home. I’ve seen so many historical sites, been in so many churches, and made a ton of memories with a group of people who all really got along, for the most part.

I’ve got a ton of ideas, blog posts, and pictures to share with you for a while, and I’ve already got some posts lined up! I’m not exactly sure when I’m going to post them, but I’ll be drafting posts on the plane as well as when I get home. Let’s be honest, I’ll probably sleep for a day straight trying to get back on a normal schedule, but hopefully it won’t take too long.

Inside the Duomo in Florence
Some of the highlights of the trip that are headed your way: Rome, Siena, Tuscany, Florence, Milan, Capri, Venice, Greve in Chianti, and so much more. These are just the main places that we visited! I was in a photography class, so I've got about 4,000+ pictures to go through, so it may take a while to get everything edited and up. Maybe once I get everything done, I'll put them all on the internet somewhere if anyone wants to see everything I took. I'm warning you, it's a ton.

Have you been on any vacations lately? Where's your favorite place you've ever been?
