Just A Quick Pop In

Well, I'm still in Italy but I just popped onto Bloglovin' for the first time since I've been in Europe (which was terrifying how many blog posts that I've missed), and apparently Google Reader is disappearing  which I'm going to assume means that Google Friend Connect is going to go away as well.

This is what my 'home page' for Bloglovin' looks like!

So if you follow via GFC right now, you can go ahead and click HERE to go to Bloglovin' to follow. Personally, I love Bloglovin' as a way to follow blogs just because it makes it so much easier.

This is what my blogs page looks like! Haven't really been updating since I've been here

If you don't want to sign up for Bloglovin'  you an always have the blog posts delivered to your email! Just enter your email address below!

PS: This is a super good post that tells you exactly how to move your blogs from GFC to Bloglovin', and from Google Reader to Bloglovin'.

Musical Mondays: Paramore

Paramore is another one of those bands that made the 13 year-old girl in me go crazy as well. When I was in middle school/early high school I had their album on repeat at all times. Hayley Williams has one of the most amazing voices that I've heard, well at least I think so. So when my roommate told me that they were releasing a new album, I immediately had to get it.

The song above, Ain't it Fun, stuck immediately with me. Something about her lyrics and her voice  resonated with me. So far, I really like the new album, and I honestly think Paramore is back and bigger than ever. I feel like they're going to be here for a while, which makes me really happy.

Musical Mondays: Childish Gambino

Warning: The song above contains A TON of explicatives, so if that kind of things offends you, don't listen to it. Don't say I didn't warn you. Anyways, back to the real reason for this post, I am OBSESSED with Childish Gambino, who's real name is Donald Glover. He's on Community, so if you've watched that show, you're now officially my new best friend.

Anyways, when I run, nine times out of ten I've got Childish Gambino yelling at me to go faster and to keep a good tempo. There's something about his rapping/music that I love, plus he's an awesome person.

I've only got a few of his albums/mix tapes, but you can best believe that soon enough I'm going to be getting everything he's released (which is not something that I do often). He went to NYU's Tisch school for the arts, in case my praise of him isn't enough to convine you to listen to him.

My First DIY...ever

I'm not that crafty of a person, and when it comes to creating things all by yourself you can just count me out. I would rather call my dad to help me, or get my mom to help out than figuring out how to be super crafty and create something out of nothing, it's just not me.

But when I saw this trinket holder (yes, that is defintiely the technical name) in a local thrift store the other day, I knew I had to get it. See, I have this massive collection of nail polish. And I feel like I'm add more all the time, especially when I get tiny samples in my BirchBox or there's a sale at Zoya. Even my Christmas in July partner knew to get me nail polish.

Needless to say I've been running out of places to put my nail polish. I'm a creature of habit, so a lot of the time I'll paint my nails the same two or three colors for a month or two. Usually I paint my nails twice a week, since my nails chip really easily or because I just get bored with the colors.

But back to the trinket holder. It was this awful blue color to begin with, and while normally it wouldn't have been a problem, my walls are already a very  light blue, so I didn't want to put a blue holder on my wall. So I decided to paint it white...that took a lot longer than I thought it would.

I only did one coat, and I actually like how it looks. It's definitely not perfect, but I like it that way. Plus, this way I can rotate my nail polish to the front and I can actually see what colors I have!
How do you store your nail polish? Do you  have a massive collection like I do?

Musical Mondays: Panic At The Disco

Once upon a time, I really had a thing for this silly band called Panic! At The Disco. The other day, or you know a few weeks ago, I was driving around in my car with the windows down music blaring and this song came on. Suddenly I remember falling in love with this song, and this crazy band.

Their first album was all dance music, something that I was super into at the time. I remember when this video came out and I would race home from school just to try and catch the last few minutes of TRL before heading to do homework or going to dance or gymnastics.

Apparently, they're stil together which makes the 13 year old in me extremely happy. I don't really remember their most recent album, but I'm pretty sure it was a lot different from their first, and I just wasn't really into it.

Packing For Italy: Toiletries

First off, spelling toiletries was possibly the most difficult thing to do for me today. Such an off day. I kept wanting to put toilet-trees.....even though I am WELL aware that it is not how you spell it. So without further adieu, here's what I'm bringing toiletries-wise:

Shampoo & Conditioner, Body Wash, Toothpaste, Shaving Cream & Razor (+ extra blades), Hairbrush, deodorant, wash cloth, make up remover + cotton pads to remove, q-tips, body lotion, dry shampoo, and face moisturizer

I know you're probably thinking, why would you bring all this stuff when you can buy it there? Well, I have really sensitive skin, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to find what I use in Italy and personally I'd rather be safe than sorry. Also, if I bring all this stuff with me, I'm just going to be leaving it in Italy when I'm done so I have a lot more space in my suitcase when I'm coming back home!

What do you think about showing what's in my suitcase? Is there something you would/wouldn't bring with you to travel abroad?

Musical Mondays: One Direction

I know, you're looking at the title and you're probably like, I'm sorry what? But it's true, I kind of love One Direction. You see, my roommate loved them quite a lot for a little bit, and by chance I started to really like them too, though it took longer for me to fall in love.

I refer to the song above as "Bad Girl" even though it's called Everything About You because one night we were driving around in the car, and I swore the lyrics were 'you know I've always got you bad girl' not 'you know I've always got your back girl'. It makes total sense.

Ever since then, I've had issues remembering the names to the songs, so I just describe them and we created fun little new titles for the songs that kind of just stuck. For example, Live While We're Young is called Crazy, Crazy, Crazy, One Thing is called I've Tried Playing It Cool, and I would is called the Spelling Song.

While they're music is just silly boy band music that we love listening to, it doesn't help that these boys are seriously attractive. Personally, I think Liam is the greatest, but my roommate would disagree with me. All in all, they're just a cute little boy band from Britain having fun with their music, and I'm not gonna lie, I kinda love it.
