My Mother: Only A Tad Late

This is my momma, well circa maybe about 2002? We were in our new house, which is where she still lives (but not that wall paper, she ripped it down a year or two ago). My mom has taught me a lot, and I'm thankful for so much. Without her, I wouldn't be the same person that I am today. Whenever we were younger, she always taught me to be myself, regardless if you're different from other people.

She taught us, my brother, sister and I, to be independent and if we ever wanted anything, she would make us ask for it. If we needed anything and it required us to call someone or talk to someone we didn't know, she wouldn't help us (to an extent). By doing this when we were younger, it's helped us to all become very confident.

She was always baking something, and I've inherited that from her. At any moment you can find me in the kitchen, baking away. I've inherited a lot of my traits from her, and I'm really happy about that. She's a strong an amazing woman, and I couldn't be happier to call her my momma.

What did you do for mother's day?
