April Birchbox

I've reviewed BirchBox before, and wanted to continue doing it, but it's hard because usually when I get my box, I want to pull everything out and put it where I can start testing it/using it. I did that for this box, and unfortunately was only able to snap a few pictures on my iPhone before going to town.

Here's a little review of everything I got in my box:

Caudalie Divine Oil ($49.00) - Quite honestly, when I looked at this product I was a little confused. I didn't take the time to read what it was, and thought it was a type of Moroccan Oil hair serum. Luckily, I looked at it more closely before I used it on my skin.

Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle ($21.95) - When I first got this, I didn't really think that I needed a beauty protector and detangler. I mean, my hair is super fine and thin already, its easy to brush through, why put more product in it. Then I used it. I've used it about 7-8 times and I still have product left. My hair is quite short, and thin, so that may also have something to do with it. The smell is really amazing, and it makes brushing my hair, especially when wet (yes I know  you're not supposed to do this) so much easier. This is something that I'm really contemplating buying again.

Hail Merry Macaroons ($5.00) - I hated these. Now, they're made with coconut, which should have told me right off the back that I wouldn't like them. I got them in Chocolate, which I think would have been better sans the coconut. But then I gave my roommate one to try and she really liked them (she likes coconut). I had never heard of these products before, but they're supposed to be gluten-free, raw, and vegan. So if you have special food needs, and like coconut, you should definitely check these out.

Supergoop! Daily Correct SPF 35 CC Cream ($32.00) - CC Cream, the new BB cream, said to be the best for corrective coverage. Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this just yet, but once I figure it out, I'll let you know!

LaFace Laboratories Beaux Yeux Beautiful Eyes Concentrate Intensive 1.0z ($160.00) - HA. HA. HA. I just looked up the price for this. I would NEVER spend this much money on ANYTHING for my face, unless it was supposed to be magic or something. Y'all 160 for 1 oz? IS THIS REAL LIFE? It's supposed to help puffiness, dark circles, hydrate skin and minimize the appearance of fine lines, and that's cool and all, but still. No way Jose. I have sensitive skin, and putting this around my eyes cause me a little bit of pain at times. When I first used it, it burned my skin so I wiped it off as quickly as possible. However, if I put my normal moisturizer on my face, then put this around my eyes, it didn't burn much.

All of the prices that I'm pulling are from off the BirchBox website, they may be cheaper elsewhere.

A better look at all the products that I got!

Overall, I'm really happy about what products I got in this box, even if it is just because of one stand out product. I'd rather find one good product in a box than five so-so products.

Have you ever tried any of these products before? What did you think?
