A Whirlwind Weekend

I'll always claim New Orleans as home
Y'all to say this past weekend was a whirlwind wouldn't even begin to describe this weekend. Earlier last week, my roommate had talked about going to New Orleans Fashion Week on day to get some material for her multimedia package for one of her classes.

Well, on Friday last minute (per usual) we decided to actually do it. We packed up her huge camera, my Nikon and got dressed the quickest we could to still attempt to look fashionable. We got in the car quicker than I've ever even thought possible and headed down to New Orleans.

After we saw Fair Fit & Andrea Loest Spring '13 Collections, from the media pit. Yes, I just typed that. THE MEDIA PIT. This was something that I never thought I would be able to accomplish, but it was one of the greatest experiences in the entire world. It's something that really confirmed my love of fashion and high energy places. If I could do this for the rest of my life, you bet in a heart beat I would.

I may have took over 500 pictures in the four hours we were in New Orleans, but I'm going to save that post for later in the week. They deserve to have their own post!

So we didn't get back until 2ish in the morning, then we stayed up just talking about how awesome everything was. Well, the next morning I had to wake up at 7am to run my first 5k. It was so great to be running with a lot of people, and not just around the LSU lakes or on my treadmill.  After that I saw my little sister's band performance (she's a senior!!!!!). Needless to say I crashed and burned Saturday night and slept until almost 11am on Sunday.

I can't wait to show y'all everything. It was such a great weekend, I'll really never forget it.

What did you do this weekend?
