Staying Healthy

For me, staying healthy isn't always easy. In fact, it never seems like it's something that is easy to do. I try and stay positive and eat healthily because it makes me feel better about myself. Your diet (no, not dieting; diet = the foods you consume) is really important. Everything you eat has an impact on your body, so if you're eating junk you're not letting your body heal itself as fast. 

Drinking water every day is so important, I feel like I can't stress it enough. I know I don't get the 8 glasses of water a day in every day, but I have a non-disposable water bottle that I use and I'll always be drinking from it. 


I use one like this.
Take a hot bath every now and then. It's so therapeutic and it can help you relax when you're very stressed out. It will calm you down and soothe your muscles. 


And sometimes use bath bombs like this
Lastly but not least, exercise. This will strengthen your muscles and the stronger you feel the better pain tolerance you'll have! I walk across campus every day - which may not seem too bad but it's a 20-25 minute normal-paced walk or a 10-15 minute brisk-paced walk to get from one side of campus to another. I purposely park on the opposite side of campus so I know I'll get my exercise in for the day!

  1. I try to drink lots of water everyday (sometimes, not very successful). I don't much stress the obligatory 8 glasses a day, partly because I'm just not that thirsty, haha. But I've been very good with having water with every meal. It was a little funny to me at first, but now I'm used to it. No more sugary drinks! At least, not regularly.

  2. Drinking water throughout has made a world of difference for me. I just feel more refreshed. I'll have to try your tip with the hot bath.

  3. I'm right there with you! It was really hard for me to cut out coffee and coke but now that I don't drink it I feel so much better!

  4. I'm right there with you! I cut out cokes and coffee and it was difficult at first but now I don't drink them I feel so much better! I don't always get the 8 classes a day but even when I drink two of my workout water bottles of water I usually feel really good!

  5. A desk job sometimes makes this so difficult! I have to make a conscious effort to get up every hour or so. I always have a full bottle of water nearby (if I am not getting up to go to the bathroom often enough, I know I need to be drinking more!). Thankfully, I have a 15 minute walk to get where I need to be twice a day, but it isn't much. But...my favorite healthy product, coconut oil. Do you use it? I am obsessed.   8. Ooh! I've never tried coconut oil! I'm not a fan of the taste, so I definitely don't drink coconut milk! I'll have to look into getting some though!
